Born Blind 04:35
We are all born blind, we are all born blind. Few will learn to see, few will learn to see. I have got new eyes, I have got new eyes Everything looks far away....far away Shangri-la and Valhalla, they're hiding from our view And the slope is getting steeper, and I'm wearing the wrong shoes But I'm picturing your smile And it carries me right on through This song has been laying down. This song has been laying down Wake up now let's hear the sound, wake up now let's hear the sound But the signal is cracking up, everything is breaking up Stay close to me I want you here Stay close to me I need you here Shangri-la and Valhalla, they're hiding from our view And the slope is getting steeper, and I'm wearing the wrong shoes But I'm picturing your smile And it carries me right on through Stay close to me I want you here Stay close to me I need you here Shangri-la and Valhalla, they're hiding from our view And the slope is getting steeper, and I'm wearing the wrong shoes But I'm picturing your smile And it carries me right on through....right on through

I'm lying beneath the table, dust dancing in the sun Open window, fresh cut grass, autumn fires burn I looked for the moment. The moment was gone. Staring at the stars, rolling down a hill Life was an open book then, time stood still I looked for the moment. The moment was gone. Soil between my fingers, juice running down my lips Sunshine behind closed eyelids, dancing with the kids I looked for the moment. The moment was gone. Buddy we got old somehow. Now we've got to get young. So here's the words....you find the chords to strum I looked for the moment. The moment was gone. Then I woke for a moment And the moment was

Come On Down 04:22
Come on down here with us, you know you're already half way there Come on down here with us, we saved you a chair And we'll try to find the right words You seem to have lost your tongue The days are getting shorter You're still going wrong Come on down here with us, you know you really want to Come on down here with us, you got nothing better to do Now you tell 'em go back from where you came Why don't you do the same We all come from somewhere Oh to be great again Come on down here with us, your pedestal is crumbling Come on down here with little old us, you're rolling and you're tumbling Those don't sound like the right words Shut up and hold your tongue Your time is gone it's over No more going wrong

How can I run the country? I can't even run myself How can I form a government? I've got too much dust on my shelf You know I've got too much money, I never knew the meaning of wealth How can I run the country? I can't even run myself Get it done, get it done, get it d-d-done, that's what they told me to say Control, control, we're taking it back Everyone get outta my way Hey, who's that Bojo over there? Let's stand him up at the front Is it true what they say about the rulers of the world? There's one of them in every country, one in every country Take me home country road How can I run the country, when I'm stuck here in the fridge? If only you'd all just believe a bit more, we could make a start on that bridge I've got someone's phone in my pocket But I just can't look at the pic And I really would try to answer your question If I wasn't an evasive prick Such a trick We got one BJ coming up, will you bow down to the clown? I'm standing here at No. 10 wearing a smile I really should be wearing a frown I'm trying to run this damned country It's not good for the national health How can I run this country? I can't even run myself How can I run the country? How can I save the country? How can I raid this country? When I'm doing such a bad job of myself

about

An Oxford Supergroup of sorts, Edwin And The Keepers formed in 2018 when former members of local bands Veda Park, Zim Grady and Stolby decided to continue their unfinished musical business, playing a unique blend of alternative lounge-pop and experimental-MOR.

Here, from fragments of songs written and recorded in sheds and kitchens across Oxfordshire, comes the new Born Blind EP.

The band were devastated to lose their founding member, Jono, in late 2019; these songs are dedicated to his wit, inventive playing, big heart and even bigger guitar.
